Why dragon fruit
Low cholesterol, high fibre, antioxidant-dense, and a clean source of vitamin C, B1, B2 and B3 plus iron, calcium and phosphorus. The kind of fruit that earns its place in the kitchen on nutrition before it earns its place on the table by looking the way it does.
Why us
Garden centres carry one or two generic cultivars. We carry thirteen, all named, all from documented mother plants.
Our Work
About
Drakos is a small specialty nursery on the outskirts of Larnaca. We grow thirteen named dragon fruit cultivars from documented mother plants, and we ship cuttings island-wide year-round.
Our climate is closer to the dragon fruit's native range than most growers realise. Cyprus summers ripen fruit cleanly, the winters slow the plants without killing them, and the eastern light gives the cuttings the colour intensity that's harder to find in cloudier countries.
We started growing because we couldn't buy the cultivars we wanted on the island. We still grow because every season teaches us something else about a plant that's only been farmed in this part of the world for the last decade.
